A young wizard hatched his first dragon egg not so long ago - or so he thought. To his surprise, it wasn't a dragon but a basilisk! Still, a pair of wings is a pair of wings - the unlikely transport will get him to where he needs to go, nevertheless! The pair is off to an adventure with the object of collecting magical artifacts from all ends of the earth in mind.
In European bestiaries & legends, a basilisk is a legendary reptile reputed to be king of serpents & said to have the power to cause death with a single glance.
This one is absolutely outstanding! ito ba ang entry mo sa contest for Tribute? pwede bang isali kahit submitted na dito sa DA or artwork natin last month/year ago pa?.... hmmnn
I haven't decided which to submit yet but I might consider submitting this together with Lucifer [link] . I think it's alright if you made it in the past so long as it brings out the spirit of our great master Frazetta
I think my friend would be specially awed to see this one! She loves dynamic poses I always thought Basilisks were snake-like creatures, yours has bird qualities but it works very well!
Thank you, Fran! I tried to put in a mix of cockatrice qualities into this basilisk and it turned out well. There really are fantastic creatures other than the popular dragon
