Variations
My character creation for Fantasy Earth Zero is of the Sorcerer class. She answers only to the wild but just King Huenkel! I gave her costume & accessories much thought & consideration... After some speed-research on the subject of magic, here they are enumerated below:
Charm Bands“Magic Circles” or amulets, precious & semi-precious stones threaded into bands. The circle is a significant symbol to practitioners of magic – magical items gathered into circles are said to draw more energy than when they are not.
Circe’s GirdleSaid to have been made & worn by Circe, the goddess of magic, herself! It magnifies the strength of spells by a hundred.
Compact CapeWater-resistant cape tailored from wax-coated woven cloth; May be attached or detached from trousers. When attached, it is used to carry supplies. When detached, it is used as a cape or camp-blanket.
Silk TrousersAllows comfortable & free movement to sorcerers on the go. Its length may be adjusted by rolling & buttoning its ends.
The absorbency of silk makes it comfortable to wear in warm weather while its low conductivity keeps warm air close to the skin during cold weather.
The Key of SolomonA “Magic Wand” made of lightweight alchemist’s gold. Its safety cuff binds the wand to its wielder.
Gone are the days when traveling sorcerers are weighed down by spell-books! Books 1 & 2 of the original Key of Solomon (grimoire or book of magic attributed to King Solomon) are stored into this wand. A limited number of spells from other spell-books may also be stored.
Book 1 of The Key of Solomon contains conjurations, invocations & curses to summon & constrain spirits & demons. Book 2 contains detailed instructions in acquiring or constructing magical clothing & implements as well as performing purification & sacrificial rituals.
Leather BootsDurable, flexible & therefore practical leather footwear can see a traveling sorcerer through any terrain. Its quality & craftsmanship lasts a lifetime.
